Franklin
College of Arts and Sciences Student Ambassadors
The
Franklin College Student Ambassadors is a program under the oversight
of the college’s office of development and alumni relations.
Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the Dean of the College, assisting
with departmental, development, alumni and student activities to
enhance the public and instructional image of the College, its students
and programs. Nominations for the program will be taken
through the month of March and applicants will be interviewed
during the first two weeks of April.

Eligibility
is open to any student in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences
enrolled on campus during the entire following academic year, has
completed at least one semester of undergraduate work, and has an
overall GPA of no less than 2.7. Ambassadors should be articulate
and effective public speakers. They should present a professional
appearance and attitude while serving the College and must be able
to fulfill their ambassador responsibilities without jeopardizing
their academic standing. Ambassadors are expected to be knowledgeable
about the UGA campus and the Franklin College.
Franklin
College Ambassadors will participate in various campus-wide events
which may include, but are not limited to, college ceremonies and
lectures; departmental programs; reunion weekends and homecoming;
student orientations and graduation; on and off-campus visits with
donors, alumni and potential students. They will be given opportunities
to learn from and network with faculty, administrators and Franklin
alumni from various backgrounds and professional fields.
Ambassadors
are advocates for students of all disciplines within the Franklin
College undergraduate program. The Franklin Student Ambassadors
will strive to enhance Franklin College awareness through out the
campus, building interest, pride and enthusiasm for future generations
of Franklin students and alumni.
