2018 Berlin Seminar in Transnational European Studies
May 27 - June 2, 2018
This one-week summer seminar in Berlin (May 27-June 2) will feature distinguished speakers with expertise in German and European politics, economics, history, literature, or the arts. Speakers will give lectures in morning sessions and work with participants on pre-assigned readings in the afternoon. The seminar will also use the city of Berlin as a location exemplifying transnational Europe, with a program that includes short excursions and cultural events. The seminar is open to advanced Ph.D. students and faculty of all ranks and from all disciplines at the University of Georgia. It is a joint initiative in partnership with the University of Notre Dame and made possible through generous support by the Max Kade Foundation.

The Willson Center for Humanities & Arts and the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences are currently accepting applications from UGA faculty and advanced doctoral students in all disciplines who are interested in attending this annual seminar.
