Bynum Trombone Recital

One of the great young faculty members in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, Josh Bynum, takes the stage for a recital tonight at 8 p.m. in Ramsey Concert Hall.

Bynum will play a program on the trombone that includes works by Defaye and and Joseph Turrin. More.

Terrific article in the Athens Banner Herald about the Tuba-Euphonium studio in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music:

In October, UGA Opera Theatre will present a concert performance of Offenbach's Tales of Hoffman:

Jacques Offenbach’s supernatural tale of unrequited love, in a two-night presentation on Thursday, October 11 and Saturday, October 13 at 8 p.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall. 2nd Thursday concerts return with Dvořák

Since 1980, the Hugh Hodgson School of Music 2nd Thursday Scholarship Series has offered showcase performances by UGA students and faculty the second Thursday of each month throughout the academic year. Proceeds from individual ticket sales and season subscriptions allow for yearlong academic scholarships and assistantships and present donors the opportunity to sponsor individual students in the music school.
