The students of the University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra, along with an array of faculty soloists, opens a new year of concerts for the Thursday Scholarship Series in Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m.:
The Hugh Hodgson School of Music’s flagship concert series opens with one of its most notable large ensembles performing classics from Barber, Haydn and Tchaikovsky.

Two alumni from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music were part of quartets which won gold and silver medals at the recent 2017 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition:
Gabriel Pique (B. Mus. - Saxophone ’15), of Fuego Quartet, and Brandon Quarles (B. Mus. - Saxophone ’15), of ~Nois, were named gold and silver medal winners, respectively, in the Senior Wind Division.
