Bring your lunch to the North Campus Quad today as the Hodgson Wind Ensemble presents its seventh annual Concert on the Lawn at 12:30 p.m. 

The approximate 90-minute program will include "Schwanda, the Bagpiper, Polka and Fugue" by Jaromir Weinberger, "America, The Beautiful," "The Melody Shop" by Karl King, "The Pathfinder of Panama" by John Phillip Sousa, The Barber of Seville overture by Rossini, "Broadway Spectacular" by John Higgins and much more.

Written by Tony-nominated, Peabody and Obie Award-winner Emily Mann, Mrs. Packard is set in an asylum where abuses are perpetrated on the inmates and the sane ones must rely on their own mental strength and the kindness of others to survive:

Based on historical events, Mrs. Packard tells the story of a woman wrongly committed to an insane asylum by her husband, a strictly devout Calvinist minister, because she disagrees with his theology – publicly.

Tonight at 8 p.m. in the New Dance Theatre in the Dance Building, the dance department presents the U.S. premiere of Danza Universiteria Costa Rica: Inercia

Come view some very special dance pieces from Danza Universitaria, the most famous, inventive and progressive professional contemporary dance company in Costa Rica. The company is renowned and has won national awards.

The performance is presented free of charge,  sponsored by the Franklin Visiting Scholars Program, LACSI, the President's Venture Fund, and the Willson Center.

The National Youth Orchestra of Uruguay kicks the week off tonight with Distinguished University Professor of double bass Milton Masciadri on Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall. The concert, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), features three UNESCO Artists for Peace: Ariel Britos, conductor; Ino Mirković, violin; and Masciadri.
