Racial tensions boil over in the University Theatre production about the 1991 race riots in Crown Heights, Brooklyn:

It's about what happened in a neighborhood with two groups living strictly separate lives: Orthodox Hasidic Jews and African and Caribbean Americans. It was a tense coexistence until a rabbi’s motorcade ran over a couple of black children, killing one. A few hours later, a visiting Jewish scholar was stabbed to death in revenge by angry young men. Then the entire neighborhood erupted into rioting and violence for three days.

The annual showcase performance by the UGA Ballroom Performance Group celebrates its 25th anniversary this month with performances Jan. 21-23 at the New Dance Theatre at the UGA dance building:

The annual tradition that brings together our campus and community continues this week with the UGA Holiday Concerts on Dec. 3 and 4 in Hodgson Concert Hall at the Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m.:

The UGA Symphony Orchestra, directed by Mark Cedel, and the combined choirs of the Hugh Hodgson School of Music will perform John Rutter’s “Gloria,” the first suite of Robert Shaw’s “Many Moods of Christmas,” excerpts from Bach’s “Magnificat,” and other seasonal favorites.

Bring your lunch to the North Campus Quad today as the Hodgson Wind Ensemble presents its seventh annual Concert on the Lawn at 12:30 p.m.

Written by Tony-nominated, Peabody and Obie Award-winner Emily Mann, Mrs. Packard is set in an asylum where abuses are perpetrated on the inmates and the sane ones must rely on their own mental strength and the kindness of others to survive:
