The UGA Ballroom Performance Group performs on campus, on tour for charity and alumni events, and regularly presents showcases at the famed Cloister Hotel on Sea Island, Georgia. The company's touring program consists of choreographed pieces demonstrating bolero, cha-cha, foxtrot, mambo, nite club two-step, quick-step, rumba, samba, east coast swing, west coast swing, tango, Viennese waltz, and slow waltz.

Auditions are held at the end of each semester for positions in the ten-couple group and in the ten-couple apprentice group which prepares dancers for the group's varied repertory of dance styles. Students who have completed the department's beginning ballroom course vie for apprentice positions. Officers and members of the group host the First and Third Friday Dance Parties in Studio 276.
