Scholarship
Application
Unless a student
requests otherwise, each student auditioning for entrance into
the dance major program will be considered for a Lucy Lampkin
Dance Scholarship. For the 2009-2010 year one $1,000 scholarship
will be available for the freshman class and several scholarships
will be available for each of the sophomore, junior, and senior
classes through Lucy Lampkin and THE FRIENDS OF DANCE. Scholarship
recipients and alternates will be notified by May 1, 2009.
Dance
Minor
The minor in
dance consists of eighteen semester hours of dance course work,
nine credit hours of 3000-5000 level. Typically a student declares
the minor in the freshman or sophomore year and takes required
coursework during the sophomore, junior and senior years. Faculty
evaluation of the student's technical ability as evidenced in
a dance technique class audition is required for the student to
declare a dance minor. Further information
on the minor is available on request.
