Artful Conversation programs are 30 minutes long, focus on one or a few works of art and provide opportunities for close looking, open-ended dialogue and discovery. This one focuses on Lamar Dodd’s painting “Bargain Basement,” on view in the exhibition “Southern/Modern,” with Callan Steinmann, curator of education.
Someone has stolen the rarest object in the museum’s collection — working in teams of five, help figure out who the thief is before they get away for good.   
William U. Eiland, director and curator of the exhibition, will give a special tour of Sculptured Adornment: The Jewelry of David Hayes.  
Join Sarah Kate Gillespie, curator of American art, for a special look at the exhibition.
This fall, the Women's Studies Friday Speaker Series will highlight the exhibition “Muse: Mickalene Thomas Photographs and tête-à-tête” through a gallery tour and discussion led by curator Dr. Shawnya Harris in collaboration with the UGA Institute for Women's Studies and Institute for African American studies.
Jenny Gropp, managing editor of the Georgia Review and curator of the exhibition, will give a special tour. Part of UGA's 2016 Spotlight on the Arts.
