LunchTime Time Machine: Was There a Shark Week Before T.V.?

This installment of the Department of History’s undergraduate lecture series features Steve Soper and Jake Short.

Soper teaches courses on the history of modern Europe, Italy, microhistory and the second half of western civilization. He is working on a new book about political prisoners in southern Italy on the eve of Italian unification.

Short also teaches courses on the history of modern Europe, with a focus on Germany, France and intellectual history. His current book project explores the idea and limits of global consciousness.
