Performance: “Considering Matthew Shepard”

Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall

The UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music is proud to host composer and conductor Craig Hella Johnson as student vocalists and instrumentalists, including the Hodgson Singers, become the third ensemble ever to perform the powerful, Grammy-nominated “Considering Matthew Shepard” on Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. The passion/oratorio-like work chronicles the tragic story of Matthew Shepard with a variety of musical styles, including chant, folk tunes, country and western, classical sacred choral, and gospel. Tickets are available at pac.uga.edu or the PAC box office for $20 or $6 with a UGA student ID.

An additional performance will take place Saturday, March 18, at 7:30PM, at the First Presbyterian Church in midtown Atlanta.
