UGA’s Franklin College and the department of dance
to sponsor the Young Choreographer's Series Senior Exit Concert
Athens, Ga. – The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and
the department
of dance at the University of Georgia will present the Young
Choreographer's Series (YCS) Senior Exit Concerts Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday, Nov. 9-11, at 8 p.m.
The concerts will be held in the New Dance Theatre at the UGA dance
department building on Sanford Drive across the street from the
South Campus parking deck.
The YCS Senior Exit Concerts are choreographed and performed by
senior dance majors who will graduate in May 2006 with either an
A.B. or a B.F.A. degree in dance.
Dance major degree candidates presenting original choreographic
dance pieces are:
* Charlotte Foster, “I am”
* Joseph Hutto, “Attention! Deficit-Hyperactivity: Disorder?”
* Laura Henry, “Day 237”
* Tiffany Sweat, “All This, Nothing More”
* Beth Lewis, “The Journey Within: An Interpretive Venture
into Movement
and Sound”
Tickets can be purchased at the Tate Student Center box office
(706/542-8074). The price is $6 for students and $10 for adults.
