Dean's Welcome, Franklin Ambassadors, Resources

With every new school year, we look forward to what Franklin students, faculty and staff will contribute to the University community. Franklin College of Arts and Sciences Dean Alan Dorsey welcomes everyone back to the UGA campus this fall semester with this message:

"As we begin a new academic year, I want to welcome all of our new and returning students to campus, as well as all of our extraordinary faculty and staff. I am also proud to introduce and welcome our 2018-2019 Franklin College Student Ambassadors to the Franklin team. The presence of Franklin students, faculty and staff across campus builds a welcoming community into the UGA learning environment that inspires us ever higher. We look forward to a great year of engaging ideas, new experiences and exciting research."

During this first week of classes at the University of Georgia, the excitement in the air is palpable as students set their sights on the possibilities of the semester ahead. Our faculty and staff continue the work that powers our robust educational landscape and a new group of Franklin College Student Ambassadors eagerly awaits opportunities to assist with activities that enhance the College, its students and programs. Pictured below, our new class of ambassadors. You will see them at various campus-wide events including, but certainly not limited to, college ceremonies and lectures; departmental programs; reunion weekends and homecoming; student orientations and graduation; on and off-campus visits with donors, alumni and potential students. They will learn from and network with faculty, administrators and Franklin alumni from many backgrounds and professional fields. Please help us welcome this group of students to the Franklin community and reach out to them when the opportunity arises.
