Sustainable UGA Fall 2018 Semester in Review

By:
Alan Flurry

Franklin College students will be among those presenting today at the Fall 2018 Sustainable UGA Semester in Review, which celebrates people, programs, activities and academic courses that are creating a culture of sustainability at UGA:

The program includes brief presentations from the Office of Sustainability interns, posters and table displays from UGA classes, the announcement of 2018 Campus Sustainability Grant winners, light lunch fare and opportunities for networking. Opening comments will be provided by Libby Morris, Interim Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.

There will be a ceremony celebrating the Spring Sustainability Certificate graduates immediately following Semester in Review from 1:15-2:15 p.m., also in the Memorial Hall Ballroom.

Thanks to our colleagues in the Office of Sustainability for organizing this event, as it is crucial to take stock of our progress and goals. The review itself will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the same location, and is open to the public. Come explore what our students and colleagues are doing to contribute to the culture of sustainability on campus and think about what else we can do to protect and preserve our campus, our community and our planet.
