"Leadership UGA was established in 1985 to recognize
the truly outstanding student leaders on our campus and to offer
them a unique opportunity to participate in issue oriented seminars
concerned with problems facing our state and nation. These seminars,
to be conducted during the Fall and Spring semesters, will be led
by outstanding leaders from the public and private sectors in this
state."
Leadership UGA seeks juniors and seniors who are at
least in good academic standing and who have made significant contributions
to the University community through leadership positions. The quality
of the contributions, rather than the quantity, is important. Nominations
must include full names, accurate mailing addresses and phone numbers,
and social security numbers. E-mail addresses are also very
helpful, should the student's address prove inadequate.
