Course Requirements:
(1) Regular attendance. Students will be allowed three absences. More than three absences will result in a grade of U.
(2) A four-page
(1,000 word) paper (minimum-no maximum page length) on one or more of the
semester’s readings, due by Tuesday, December 11, at
Attendance: Students are allowed three absences, regardless of the reasons for the absences. There will be no differentiation between excused and unexcused absences. Therefore, no excuses for absences need be given. It is the student’s responsibility to inform the instructor if he or she has been present in class but has arrived after the roll was taken.
Paper Format: The guidelines for punctuation, citation, etc. will be announced in class.
Plagiarism: The unattributed quotation or extensive paraphrase of material not conceived and composed by the student will initiate action in accordance with the University’s policies on academic honesty, as outlined in A Culture of Honest: Policy on Academic Honesty.
