Cultural Diversity/Multicultural Literacy Requirements
Franklin College students who matriculated Fall '95 or later must
pass an approved multicultural (African-American, Native American,
Hispanic-American or Asian-American) course in order to satisfy the Franklin
College Multicultural Literacy Requirement.
Students who matriculated Fall '02 or later must also satisfy
the University's
Cultural Diversity Requirement. All courses which will
satisfy the Franklin College Multicultural Literacy Requirement
will also satisfy the University's Cultural Diversity Requirement. However,
the reverse may not necessarily be true. For information
about which courses will satisfy the requirements of the University
of Georgia's other Schools and Colleges, see the University
Bulletin.
Students who have satisfied the Cultural Diversity requirement
in one school/college have also satisfied it in any other school/college
into which they may transfer. However, students who have
satisfied this requirement in another college may not necessarily
have satisfied the Franklin College Multicultural Literacy Requirement.
Students should consult Academic Advisors to determine which
courses satisfy these requirements and to determine what degree
requirements the courses may be used for.
