As the Development Officer for the Lamar Dodd School of Art, Tai Sherman works collaboratively with faculty and staff on a nation-wide alumni engagement effort. Sherman meets with alumni to learn about their current work and what they have been doing since graduating from the Lamar Dodd School of Art. Sherman is also responsible for identifying, cultivating and soliciting gift prospects and helping implement the School’s long-term and short-term fundraising goals.
Sherman has worked in the non-profit sector for the last 17 years. Most recently, she served as the corporate partnerships manager for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. She is passionate about community engagement and is excited to be a part of the effort to expand the Dodd’s collaborative presence in Athens and beyond. Sherman received her B.A. from Western Michigan University where she studied public relations and political science in 2004.
Sherman and her husband Rich have two small children, Kammy and KJ, two big dogs, and enjoy hiking and exploring Athens.
