Concert: Keyboard Music of “The Three Bs”

Performing Arts Center Ramsey Concert Hall

Three master concert artists perform keyboard works of the giants of Western music—Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms—on historic instruments. Kenneth Weiss, harpsichordist, plays Bach. Eric Zivian, one of America’s foremost fortepiano specialists, plays Beethoven. Jon Nakamatsu, 1997 Van Cliburn Gold Medalist, performs Brahms on the Steinway grand.

From PAC website:

Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms take the spotlight in this innovative program as three master artists perform works of the giants of Western music on the types of instruments the composers would have used in their own lifetimes. Kenneth Weiss, harpsichordist, plays Bach. Eric Zivian, one of America’s foremost fortepiano specialists, plays Beethoven. Pianist Jon Nakamatsu, the Gold Medalist in the 1997 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, performs Brahms on the modern Steinway grand.
