Happy New Year, Welcome back, La Mostra

Welcome back to all staff and faculty, as well as to the many students trickling back into town today and tomorrow. Happy New Year and best wishes for a great 2017.

Study abroad is always top of mind as Spring semester begins - students, if you haven't discovered a program of interest for later this year, now is the time. There are many opportunities in the Franklin College and beyond.

One of UGA's flagship programs is the Cortona Study Abroad program, which ramps us into the new year with a reunuion exhibition beginning this week in the Dodd - La Mostra:

“La Mostra” (The Show), presents the work of Cortona faculty and students from 2016 in the third floor galleries in the Lamar Dodd School of Art building.

The exhibit's closing ceremony & reception will be Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. in the Lamar Dodd School of Art auditorium S151 (first floor).

The Cortona, Italy, residential center has offered study abroad programs in the arts, sciences and other areas of study since 1970. UGA's residential (live/study) campus is located in the medieval Tuscan hill town of Cortona, and the community welcomes students and faculty alike in the summer, fall and spring terms. For more information on programs in Cortona, visit cortona.uga.edu

Here we are. Orientation. Advisement. Drop/add. Study Abroad. Men's Basketball vs. South Carolina on Wednesday. Classes begin on Thursday.
