New Exhibitions Opening at the Dodd Galleries

Four exhibitions and a site-specific installation will open at the Dodd Galleries February 1, 6-8 pm. New York-based artists, Priyanka Dasgupta & Chad Marshall present a new video and sculptural installation that is inspired by the lost history of Bengali sailors; Congeal, featuring work by Dodd students explores the comfort and discomfort of living in a body; Dodd MFA candidate Yana Bondar examines patterns of self-sacrifice in feminine archetypes in her porcelain works featured in Purgatory; Jamie Steele, director of Atlanta gallery Camayhus, juries the biannual Undergraduate Curated Exhibition; and a new site-specific wall installation will be on display by Athens-based artist, Katya Tepper.

The School of Art's Winter Art Party Extravaganza will feature these new works as well as snacks and drinks, DJ Ruby Mars, and a very special Congeal photo booth. All events at the Galleries are FREE and open to the public.
