The UGA Department of Dance and Young Choreographers Series will present, “Untethered”, a Senior Exit and Emerging Choreographers Showcase November 11-13, 2021. Each day will alternate between a program A or program B show. Program A will perform on November 11 and 13 at 8:00 p.m. Program B will perform on November 12 at 8:00 p.m. and on the 14 at 2:30 p.m. As part of the 2021 Spotlight on the Arts Festival, these performances will be held in the New Dance Theatre at the Dance Building.

The showcase will present themes based on relationships, novels, and personal struggles through styles such as contemporary, ballet, jazz, musical theater, and hip hop. Nine senior A.B. degree candidates will present their senior choreographic projects which display their knowledge and creativity for dance. Throughout their time at UGA these seniors have explored choreographic devices, various movement analyses, and technical experimentation. In addition, three junior choreographers and one sophomore choreographer will be presenting their choreographic projects through the Young Choreographers’ Lab.
