Training & Development summer course offerings

Faculty and staff in the Franklin College update procedures and guidelines for their areas of responsibility on a near-constant basis just to keep up with challenges of serving our students in and out of the classroom, marking our day-to-day activities throughout the academic year. And yet professional development of faculty and staff is also a priority, so summer can be a great time to brush up on procedures or to learn completely new skills. Tranining & Development classes offered by Human Resources cover a range of activities relevant to our work.

Classes include faculty promotion and tenure dossier preparation, FacultyJobs@uga training, certificate in academic advising, diversity and inclusion certificate, supervisory excellence classes, public speaking, and best practices in a range of applications. See the list of available courses, find out which might be appropriate for your position, and then work with your supervisior and colleagues to take advantage of these great opportunities to learn. T & D courses are a great way to improve your personal effectiveness as well as that of your area, the College and the university. High rankings, scholarships, awards, successful events, a strong reputation - none of these happen without the work of faculty and staff, as well as their continuing desire for excellence. Always keep learning.
