Franklin OIT Web Team wins Best in WebOps Award

By:
Alan Flurry

Pantheon selected the Franklin College Office of Information Technology's Web Services Team as The Best in WebOps team for 2023. This award celebrates high-performing brand or agency web teams that have produced extraordinary websites and embrace the core principles of WebOps. These teams thrive on collaboration, and they are shining examples of results-oriented website strategy, design, development, and execution. They were chosen by an esteemed panel of marketing and technology industry judges.

The Pantheon Website Operations Platform is a marketing and development tool used by over 300,000 sites around the world.

The Franklin OIT Web Services Team is a group of four staff members who build, support, and maintain web sites for 45 Departments, Centers, and Institutes and 80 Research Lab sites. They also manage and support the campus wide Course Evaluation system, a couple of internal college applications, and provide digital collections solutions and support for Georgia Museum of Natural History. Because they are such a small team with broad responsibilities, they sought out a cloud hosting partner that provides elite workflow tools which improve the development experience, automate routine tasks to free up resources for strategic work, and execute with productivity and impact in mind. Several years ago they selected Pantheon as their web partner.

“Pantheon has dramatically improved the team’s productivity," said Stephanie Lynn, IT senior manager and leader of the web services team. "Through automated Drupal workflows, we have been able to recapture about 15 hours of work time per week. This time savings has enabled us to invest in new knowledge acquisition, and expanded capacity of support for our clients.”

The Franklin OIT Web Services Team joins an elite group of winning teams working across the private sector and higher education. Congratulations to our very talented and indefatigable colleagues. Very well done!
