Artists 4 Democracy: Christina Quarles

The Dodd Galleries has partnered with Artists 4 Democracy to bring a series of lectures in which artists talk about their work and why they vote. The virtual lectures will start on Sept. 16 and, after, will be held every Tuesday at 8 p.m. up until the election.

Christina Quarles was born in Chicago, IL in 1985 and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She completed her BA at Hampshire College in 2007 with a double concentration in Philosophy and Studio Arts. Quarles earned her MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale University in 2016. She currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with her wife and two cats.
