Student Spotlight Main Event

10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tate Plaza

 10 a.m.  Children’s Theatre Troupe: The actors of the Children’s Theatre Troup will perform “Robin Hood.”

 11 a.m.  Lineage Percussion Trio: Join UGA's premiere percussion trio, Lineage Percussion, as they present a thrilling performance utilizing over a dozen different instruments, including everything from bass  drums to cymbals to a dining room table.

 11:30 a.m.  Ecotones: UGA’s ecologically friendly a cappella group will perform selections.

 11:45 a.m.   Next Act & Black Theatrical Ensemble: Next Act Musical Theatre Troupe will perform a selection from the musical “The Rocky Horror Show;” The Black Theatrical Ensemble will perform  monologues.

 12 p.m.  Hodgson Wind Ensemble: Conduct Us! Attendees have the opportunity to conduct the acclaimed Hodgson Wind Ensemble.

 1 p.m.   UGA Accidentals

 1:15 p.m.  Improv Athens: Improv Athens is an improvisational comedy group based out of UGA that holds shows, open rehearsals, competes and is nationally ranked. The group will be performing improv,  ranging from short-form “Whose-Line-Is-It-Anyway”-type games to long-form improv comedy scenes.

 1:45 p.m.  Thalian Blackfriars: The Thalian Blackfriars is UGA’s oldest theatrical society, with its history dating back to 1893.

 2 p.m.   Stillpoint: Members from the student literary publication Stillpoint will read selections aloud.

 2:30 p.m.  Graduate Acting Ensemble: Come see this band of professional actors perform Shakespeare, a devised theatre piece and modern dance.

 3 p.m.   UGA Ballet Ensemble: The Ballet Ensemble will perform a selection from “Sleeping Beauty”, and a variation from “Giselle.” Additionally, they will perform Perceptions, a contemporary ballet piece  choreographed by the 2014-2015 members of the Ballet Ensemble.

 3:30 p.m.  Quinpuso: Quinpuso is a jazz quintet made up of music students at UGA looking for opportunities in jazz of all categories
